My name is Charlie Miller. I’m running for the North Carolina House of Representatives because because the people of District 19 deserve principled representation. I’ve spent nearly 25 years serving my community in various roles and I’m ready to leverage that experience to work for you in the North Carolina House of Representatives. My family has deep roots in Eastern North Carolina and I want nothing more than to see our communities in Brunswick and New Hanover County thrive. We face many difficult challenges and I’m ready to fight for solutions.

Family Man
Charlie resides in Southport, where he was born and raised, and has been married to his wife, Patty, for 33 years. They have one daughter, Natalie, who is a 5th grade teacher and a seven year old granddaughter Finley.
25-Year Law Enforcement Veteran
Chief Deputy Charles Miller begin his Law Enforcement career with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office in 1987 under Sheriff John Carr Davis. He worked his way through the ranks of the Office and resigned in 2001 as Chief Deputy to work with Progress Energy as a Nuclear Security Specialist. Chief Miller returned to the Sheriff’s Office in May 2008 as Chief Deputy when Sheriff Ingram took Office.
Brunswick County Board of Education Member
Charlie was elected to the Brunswick County Board of Education in 2006 and re-elected in 2010, 2014 and 2018. He has served as Chairman and Vice Chairman during his tenure on the Board.
